RTI NAGM VIZAG 26-28 DEC 08

Tablers and Circlers,
Here a few snapshots of the National Agm of Rti held at Vizag from the 26th to 28th of Dec 2008 hosted by Vizag Rt 92.
Tablers attending from 181 were Ipc Rajiv, Tr Bhavesh, Tr and AST Kaval,Cr Sonu, Twr Tanveer, Tr Vinay,Cr Shweta, Twr Hriday, Twr Navya, Tr Manish and me Tr Hamir.

The Knights at Waltair gave the Queens and Knights of MKRT 181 a rocking time with the superb hospitality and even more awesome events.
We won certificate of Merits for Publicity, Fellowship and Magazine. We also got recognition for being one of the fastest five tables in RTI to have submitted the C form dues and Our Own AST Kaval got recognition as Area 2 was the first Area in Rti to clear C form Dues.

Surprise Bday Party For Charter Chairman JaIdeep By Pooja

Charter Chairman Jaideep was given a surprise of his life by his dear wife Pooja, who threw a amazing and awesome Bithday Party for him at the Fortune Select Hotel on the 29th of November. The theme was Mardi Gras and the etup was awesome. Hats off to the decor and arrangements done By Cr Pooja Gautam. Hope other circlers learn't something from her. We also celebrated Vc Sunil Bajaj's Birthday which happened to be on the 30th of November.

RTI WEEK Project 3

Tablers,
In Continuation with the RTI week we had a community service at the Guild Of Service- ANNA NAGAR, a school for mentally and physically challenged children on the 17th of November. We contibuted and served breakfast for 80 children. Chairman Mukesh Distributed 80 Bedsheets for their hostel and Vice Chairman Sunil distributed 150 packets of biscuits.

RTI Week Project Andhra Mahila Sabha

Tablers,
Continuing on the RTI week. We had a painting competion at Andhra Mahila Sabha on the 14th o November. Here our Ht Sanay Ramaswamy donated Rs 10000 twoards the library facility of Andhra Mahila Sabha and Chairman Mukesh Donated 200 Bedsheets for the hostel. The participants at the competition were given Awards.

RTI week Day 1

RTI WEEK CELEBRATIONS – AND DAY ONE FOR MKRT 181

Date: 11/11/2008
Location: Our Lady of Vellankani matriculation Hr Secondary School.

Our day one kicked off as usual with a great support and enthusiasm of fellow tablers. We conducted an eye camp at the school for around 500 students and distributed note books to the beneficiary. The guests were Area Community service convener Tr Ajay Jalan, Dr Senthil from Uma Eye clinic who was in charge of the eye camp and tablers and circlers of 181. State of the art machinery was used to check the vision of the students.

The chairman thanked the guests and the tablers for being present at the event.

MKRT 181 at Colombo

Tablers and Circlers of MKRT-181 went to colombo last weekend with the Natioanl board to attend the 2nd Nex meeting. But they siezed the oppurtunity and had a meeting with CRT 1 in colombo and did a couple of joint community services with them.

Tr Amit Mehta of MKRT-181 has released another ad for his business in which he has promoted Round Table India and Freedom Through Education. If More tablers were to do this all over India and the world, the word about Round Table would spread far.

9 Classroom project Handover by MKRT-181

Dear Fellow Knights,

Firstly, apologies for delay in sending this report.

It gives me great pleasure to inform that we have successfully completed our Long Term Project of building the Primary Block comprising 9 classrooms for "Siragu School" run by "Suyam Trust".

The inauguration was conducted on Thursday, the 2nd October, 2008 at the school premises located at Palavedu, off Avadi. Over 225 students were present inspite of the public holiday on account of Gandhi Jayanthi.

The occassion was graced by the Area Project Convener Tr Chetan, Area Community Service Convener Tr Ajay Jalan and over 15 Tablers and 2 circlers of MKRT 181. The Chief Guest for the day was our Area Chairman Tr Sakthivel Raja and the Guest of Honour was AHT GLMF Sanjay Ramaswamy.

Though the function started 30 minutes behind schedule, we started off with the Flag Hoisting and paying respects to the Father of our Nation Gandhiji. One classroom was inaugurated by the Area Chairman and the other by all the Charter Chairman Tr Jaideep.

The handing-over of the Primary Block consisting 9 classrooms measuring 3240 sq ft in totto was followed by brief speeches by the dignitaries for the day. Special mention to our AHT who mesmerised everyone with a politician like Tamil speech. The Students of the school gave some impressive performances climaxing with a 15 minute mind blowing performance by the local karate club.

A "Diabetic Camp" and an "Eye Camp" was conducted as part of the community service initiatives on the sidelines of the inauguration benefitting the parents of the students... 95 persons were screened for diabetes and over 110 underwent Eye check ups.

Thanks to AHT Sanjay for sponsoring Lunch to the students and staff of Siragu post the the function.

Wish each and everyone of us were there to mark the culmination of our first Long Term Project.

6 KA DUM

Tablers we were a part of the Mega Fellowship of AREA 2. 6 KA DUM. 6 tables of Area 2 took Part. hey were MERT 30, MSRT 39, MART 100, 124, MSRT 159 and MKRT 181.
MKRT 181 won the Kriket by beating thier Arch rivals MERT 30 by 20 runs.
Tw Hriday Grandhi bowled the Last over with Mert wanting 24 to win of 6 balls.
Tr Lankesh was the Captain.
The Other events which took place were Volleyball and Throwball

There were totally 150 heads and 25 181ers

181ers at MSRT 39 Haloween Party hosted by tR Ajay Jalan and Vijay Challani

Ajay Jalan and Vijay Challani of MSRT 39 threw a awesome Haloween Party at the Taj Corramandel yesterday and the 181ers who were there enjoyed throughly, Everything was picture perfect for a halowwen party, The Decor, The Ambience, The Clothes, The props etc. Great Show Hosts

DINNER MEET OF THE SAIYA'S

Tablers,
BHAVESH of MKRT-181 and AMIT of MMRT -95 hosted thier joint dinner meet at the ACCORD metroplitan hotel on the 20th September 2008.
Chairman Punit of MMRT-95 and his conveners spoke about thier project and fund raising events of MMRT 95. They also fecilated the winners of the intertable Shuttle Tournament hosted by 42. The winners were Naresh,Heena,Punit and Shweta for various ebvents.
Chairman Mukesh of MKRT-181 and his conveners spoke about thier Fundraising event and the community service (Intertnational Coastal Clean Up Day with the Coast Guard of Chennai) which happened on the same morning where MKRT 181 were the main Sponsors. The Meeting was attented by Area Chairman Shaktivel Raja, Avc Prabhat, Ast Kaval, Ipc Rajesh Gupta Area Conveners like Ajay, Senthil and Many other Visiting Tablers.

MKRT 181 with Coast Guard on International Coastal Cleanup Day

The Madras Knights Round Table 181, were a part of a great initiative taken by the Indian Coast Guard to clean up the coastal area of Chennai Marina. The event was organized by Indian Coast Guard and there were close to 8000 students participating from all across colleges in Chennai. The cleanup was an initiative to promote Bio diversity and protection of the environmental eco system.

The tablers of MKRT 181 were available in large numbers with their circlers and were there to promote the initiative. Coast Guard Commander Vikram Parashar who had come to MKRT 181 with a proposal to sponsor the initiative thanked the chairman and tablers for their esteemed cooperation and effort.
MKRT 181 sponsored a total of Rs 1, 00,000 of which Area HT Sanjay Ramaswami sponsored Rs 50,000, Chairman Mukesh sponsored Rs 20,000 and the table of 181 sponsored Rs 30,000.
The event was on the 20th of September 2008 at the Marina Beach and the event was flagged off by the Chief Coast Guard. The event started at 7 am and went on it 11 AM.
Students from Loyola, WCC , SRM , Gurunanak College and many other institutions were a pat of it, They collected a lot of waste and bio degradable matter of which the data and statistics were reported. There was a competition conducted among the colleges and the results of the competition were based on the team size, motivation, slogan and data collected.
MKRT 181 received wonderful publicity via print and news media. We were covered by Jaya TV, Sun TV and Win TV. On print media our publicity was done on the Hindu and the times of India.
MKRT 181 thanked the coast guard commandment for the wonderful opportunity given and looked forward to a healthy relationship in the future towards similar initiatives.
