BLOOD DONATION CAMP ON WORLD YOUTH DAY 12th AUGUST 2008
MADRAS KNIGHTS ROUND TABLE 181 in association with RED CROSS INDIA held a blood donation camp at Gurunanak College in Velachery , Chennai. It was held on the 12th of August 2008 and this intiative is a pan India Intiative Between Round Table India and the Indian Red Cross Society to mark the world youth day. We collected 323 units of blood with red cross accounting for 250 and the remaining were collected by the General Hospital of Chennai. The event was attented by Area Chairman Tr Rajesh Gupta, Area 2 Chairman Elect Tr Sakthivel Raja Tr Ashish Modi of MSRT 159 and various other tablers of Area 2. It was also attended by Cr Mona Lulla of Ladies Circle 2 representing Ladies Circle Of India. There was tremendous supprt by the staff and the nss unit of Gurunanak College. The event as well publicisized on popular Radio Channels like Hello Fm and Radio Mirchi and was covered by News Channles like Raj Tv and Jaya Tv.

As we all know, tragedy occurs every other day and we hear about blood shortages. We cannot let people die short of blood. Our blood can give life to someone, someday.
