MKRT 181 Best Table in RT International

Tablers and Circlers,
On the 14th of August 2009 MKRT 181 won the BEST TABLE IN ASIA PACIFIC under the chairmanship of Tr Mukesh Sinha. On the 15th of August 2009 we won the "BEST ROUND TABLE" in ROUND TABLE INTERNATIONAL.
MKRT 181 has done what no other table in AREA 2 has done in a long time. MKRT 181 is on the top of the WORLD.

6ey Ka Dum 2009

Tablers and Circlers,
MKRT 181 participated in A 6 Table Joint Fellowship and Intertable Events.
The 6 Tables were 30,39,82,100,159 and 181. The events organized by the tables were Volleyball in the newly inaugrated Volley Courts, Kriket with a Difference, Throwball For the Ladies, Football for KIds. All in all a complete family event.
MELC 100 also organizes "Plant a sapling" Campaign at the event.
More than 150 heads were present with 43 181ers present.

We Won The Kriket Tournament with the help of two Circlers )Cr Suba and Cr Pooja) and Twinklers (Hriday, Karan Sampat, Karan Shah, Navya Grandhi, Shrika Balaji, and Shreya) The tablers for the kriket were Tr Vinay, Lankesh, Pratik, Jaideep, Amit Mehta,Ganesh, Kaval and Hamir.

We were also Runners Up for the Ladies Throwball Tournamet were the ladies who Particpated were Suba,Jenny,Pooja,Sonu,Sarika,Sonal,Jaya, Shweta and Jidnayasa

We Particpated in Volleyball with Trs, Mahesh, Mukesh, Sunil, Shyam, Rajiv, Ht Sanjay, Sameer and Hamir.

We were the runners up for th Fellowship Trophy with 43 Heads all together

Chairman Sunil planted a sapling and Took a vow to look after it personally for next 10 Years

My dear friends,

The Knights of MKRT 181 blended well like a cocktail never made before @ Taj Mount Road Blend on 02.08.09. There were all together 15 heads with 10 tablers and 5 circlers. Wefirst met up @ Blend and the tablers present were Amit,Ganesh,Jaideep,Kamal,Kaval,Manish,Mukesh,Rahul,Sunil and my self along with Eesha,Sonu,Pooja,Rehmat and Sweta. We also happened to meet IPC of Table 162 Tr.Darshan and Tr.Ashok over there and Tr.Ashok popped a champaigne bottle in the name of our own Kaval for his wonder full year as an AST and also for he being selected unanimously as the incoming AVC. It was an unexpected gesture from 162. The music played there was 181's kind of music "House Music". We had awesome fun but the DJ stopped the music by 12.15 am and since Friend Ship day started we all decided to shift base to Havana and there we met our famous couple Lanky and Suba and all of us partied there together till 2 am. All together we had a great time... 181 rocks !!! We will shine on !!!

Community Service 3 - MKRT 181

Tablers and Circlers

We at MKRT 181 had an excellent eye camp today at our late minister Mr Nanzil manoharan's house at purasaivakkam to mark his death anniversary. Revenue minister mr I.Periasamy inaugurated the camp.the camp was mainly organised for the poor people living in that locality.we screened around 250 people.out of that 150 people were given free glassess through our tabler pratik shah(specsmakers).around 30 cases were reffered for cataract surgery at uma eye clinic.our chairman sunil,tr kamalakannan and myself were present there.
Looking forward to render more service to the community.

MKRT 181's First meeting this year

Chairman Sunil Bajaj with his thme SHINE ON chaired his first official meeting of the year on 22nd July 2009 at Hotel Accord.
As Chirman was late the floor suggested the famous Tr Gaurav Bajaj to convene the meeting.

We had a few visitors for the meeting.
MMRT 3 Chairman- Suraj Sayani, IPC Dilip Thakurdas and Sq Leg Sandeep somani.
Chairman Sunil Exchanged flags and Pins with Tr Suraj Sayani.
We also had AVC Tr Prabhat who came to wish Chairman Sunil a great year.

1st Community Service of the Year

To Kick start the year with a BANG--- We hv started off with an Amazing Community Service... An Eye Camp in association with Uma Eye Clinic.
This took place in memory of Shri Kamaraj birthday event at Chetpet Community Centre .
The Councellor of the area, the Human rights Head, and the Youth Leader were very co operative and had publicised in the area consisting of 6 Slums.Event was well attended by our Tablers and Chairman Bala-162 and the local body members.
We had
162 people screened for Eye camp throughout the day,
64 Glasses were distributed at the camp
42 people were prescribed for Bifocal spectacles which will be sponsored by Specsmakers (Tr.Pritik)
18 people who presently are suffering from Cataract are prescribed for FREE SURGERY

MKRT 181's 5th Agm

Tablers and Circlers,
Madras Knights Round Table 181 had its 5th Annual General Meeting on the 4th Of July at Back Water Ripples Resort, Kumarakom.
It was witnessed by Area 2 Chairman Tr Sakthivel Raja, National Supply House Conevener Tr George and In the presnce of Area Honarary Tabler Sanjay Ramaswami.
The Trip started with 41 People travelling to kumarakom by trivandrum Mail on the 3rd. Withs Lots of Fellowship on board the train and on Reaching Kumarakom it continued till we started the Agm at 3.00 pm.
Chairman Mukesh and His Conveners Presented thier Reports of the excellent year gone by.
He congratulated his team for the new height and standard they achieved for 181.
The Searginting was with a twist. Cr Jaya and Cr Bhavana came with an excellent way of seargenting. This was followed by Once again a superb performance by our Ht Sanjay Ramaswami with Tr Rajiv Shah.

MKRT 181 had its Charter Night Celebrations on the 30th Of June 2009 at Grt Conventen centre. It was Jointly hosted by Tr Kamalakannan and Cr Kuil.

6 Class Room Inaugration Under SSA Scheme

The inauguration of the classroom block was held on Monday, 29th June, 2009 at the school venue, Triplicane, chennai
The classrooms were inaugurated by Ms Kanimozhi, MP, in the presence of Perumalsamy, Director of Education. The function was well attended by the higher officials of the Education Department.
A total of 6 classrooms measuring 4550 sq ft were constructed spread over the ground and first floor as a new block parallel to the existing classrooms block in the school. The “Bhoomi Pooja” for the same was held on 30 January, 09.
The school, with a strength of over 450 students is a model senior secondary school imparting education using Tamil as the medium of instruction.
Later, while addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest harped on the success of alternative methods of learning and encouraged the students to pursue their interests in favoured disciplines even if it going to be outside the traditional realms of Engineering & Medicine as there are innumerable opportunities outside these traditional areas.
Dr Perumalsamy requested assistance from the tables to set up maths labs, a first initiative in Asia in 9 identified government schools. The new concept has proven success in making the young minds understand the concept of mathematics in a practical manner.
A Health Camp, Dental Camp and Eye Camp with support of “Uma Eye Clinic”, Anna Nagar was organised at the premises in benefit of the students of the school. Free Spectacles were distributed on the occasion.
Snacks were distributed to the students on the joyous occasion.
Area 2 Vice Chairman Tr Prabhat, AST Tr Kavalpreet, Area Projects (SSA) Convenor Tr Senthil Kumar and table chairmen and tablers from Area 2 graced the event. AHT Sanjay represented Area 2 on the dais.
Tablers and Circlers of 181 were in good numbers and each and everyone lent their support to make this event a truly memorable one.

SIGREE fellowship 14.6.09

Tablers an Circlers,
After the kids did an amazing job at Chote Ustad 09. MKRT 181 had a fellowship at Sigree Restaurant. More than 40 heads were present and we had a great time. HT Sanjay and prospect Shyam Murali were also present.

The kids Had a feast and so did Tablers and Circles too.

Chotte Ustaad 09

Tablers and Circlers,
Time and again we have proven that the kids of MKRT 181 are one superlative lot.
Last Sunday Area 2 conducted Chotte Ustaad 09- A Talent Hunt cum Fashion Show for Kids.
Our Kids with thier mothers did a fantabolous job. They came in as "DONS" and swept Area 2 with thier moves.
The Particpants were Sneha Shah, Karan Shah, Dwij Sampat, Karan Sampat, Gehna Aneja, Sandeep Sethi, Tanveer Sethi, Navya Grandhi, Hriday Grandhi, Shrika Balaji, Harsh Saiya, Aditya Ganesh, Milena Ganesh, Jas Khubchandani, Navya Bajaj and Pia Bajaj.

In the Individual Talent Hunt, Shrika Balaji enthalled the audience with a story and Karan Sampat made everybody move with his Dancemoves.

The team got 4th Prize for the evening.
Karan Sampat got the second prize in the Talent hunt.

MKRT 181 also won its 6th Continious Fellowship award in the intertable events in AREA 2.

Birthday Celebrations in 181

On 3rd June combined with our scheduled Business meeting we had two Birthday Bashes together.
We celebrated Prospect Shyams Birthday whose birthday falls on 3rd June
We also Celebrated Cr Pooja's Birthday (Charter Chairmans Jaideeps wife) whose Birthday falls on th 4th of June.
The Cake Cutting was followed by Music, Dance and Masti in Tr Lankesh's Pub at Cine City Hotels....

There was a hrd program and it was to walk on broken Glass pieces. 5 Tablers did from MKRT 181 did it with ease. st Kaval, Incoming Chairman Sunil, His Vice Mahesh Dutia, Incoming secretary Tr Balaji and Area Blog Convener Tr Vinay.
